A bit about the Otis Farmers Market
We are a local farmer's market that began 5 years ago. We have roughly 12 vendors who are also local farmers from the Otis area. We are recently under new management and have become a 75% grower's market! We provide our local community with our local, farm-fresh goods. We also believe in educating our community on the importance of buying local. As a market we also pick 1-2 charities to raise money for during our market season. Last year we raised $180 for the Huntington Food Pantry and $400 for Operation Smile! This year we hope to raise money for the Heifer Project. As a whole we are a connected group of people who share a common goal ~ support our farms by supporting your local farmer's market.

Events Calendar at Otis
May 8 – As our market begins on Mother's Day weekend, we will be staring the season out with plants for sale, courtesy of our local farms and greenhouses. If you're looking for a gift for Mother's Day what better place to get it than at the Otis Farmer's Market! Plant sales will be going strong throughout the month of May and into the rest of the season. Hope to see you there!
June 5 – On this day we will be welcoming all New Vendors to our market. We are very excited to welcome Snow Farm of Sandisfield, Around the Bend Creations of Tolland and Lyric Hill Farm of Granby, CT, all to our market. And, we are pleased to announce the return of our beloved Planted Feather Bakery! If you are interested in becoming a vendor for our market, please contact Jess Ripley at either email or phone.
June 12 – This weekend is the Town of Otis' Bicentennial. Come shop at the farmer's market while waiting for the festivities to begin! The parade will be starting at 1 pm with many of the local farms who are vendors at the market displaying their farm names on floats. Come be a part of the festivities!
June 19 – Our Crafter's Fair gives the local crafters of the area a chance to join our market for a day and sell their trade. So far we have crafters that will be selling their jewelry, handmade soy candles, handmade goat milk soap, and handmade bags. We will also have live entertainment from local musician Jeff Fowler. If you are interested, please contact Jess Ripley by either email or phone. We are welcoming all crafters for this day!

There will also be a cooking demo with lots to sample in the world of blueberries, including a beer and wine tasting, courtesy of L&M Auto. And we hope to have live music from local musicians Chris Collins and Dan Tribe. Come join us!
August 7 ~ We will be hosting a Poetry Slam / Open Mic during the market. To make it a bit easier to get up and talk in front of people, L&M Auto is having another beer tasting! August 21 ~ Safety Day / Back to School. This is a day devoted to our youth. We will have fire fighters with a fire truck, EMT with an Ambulcance, and our local police who will be available to do finger printing books on our kids.
