A little about Greens Treat
Greens Treat is a small (25 share) CSA by the owners of Green Street Cafe (1991-2012). We use the same hand tools used by John's grandparents on their Whately onion farm and by John's parents, who were founding members of the Valley's first farmers' market (1966) - then known as The Amherst Common Market.
Our CSA will operate from June until the end of October. Share prices for 2013: single person households: $200. 2 - 4 person households $400. Households with more than 4: $525.
All the produce we grow is selected for intensity of flavor, making us a favorite of discerning cooks and diners. This year we are adding a little culinary excitement (and challenge) for us and our members in the form of a wood fired Cobb Oven.
Last, but not least, is our newest adventure in self-sustainability: Greens Treat Suites - more than a B and B. Please go to www.greenstreat.com for pictures and information.
Bon Apetite, John & Jim
