Regular Share (June-October, 21 weeks, $650). This is our standard CSA share. You can expect over thirty kinds of vegetables, everything from tomatoes and green beans to kohlrabi and rutabaga. What you get varies from week to week, depending on the season, but it will usually be 6-12 different items. We strive to provide a balance of different kinds of vegetables: salad greens, cooking greens, long-lasting roots, and tender fruits (squash, tomatoes, peppers). The share is ~10lbs/week (depending on the season), enough food for two veggie-loving adults or a small family.

Extended Share (June-November, 25 weeks, $750). Regular share + four more weeks. Eat local through Thanksgiving! You can expect lots of great fall produce: primarily greens (kale, arugula, lettuce, etc.), roots, and other storage crops like onions and potatoes.

Flower Share (mid-June through mid-September, 10 weeks, $120). For the first time, we are offering our very own flower share. Each week, you will get a beautiful, freshly arranged bouquet. Flowers vary throughout the season, but you can expect to take home celosia, zinnias, dahlias, snapdragons, and more. It is a great way to bring a little bit of summer into the house!

A little about First Root Farm
First Root is a little vegetable farm with a big heart. We are young farmers who grow food with love. Founded in 2009, First Root has grown from a small start-up into a thriving CSA. We farm on 2.5 acres of historic farmland in Minute Man National Historical Park in Concord, MA. We use organic and sustainable growing practices because we want this land to be fertile and healthy for many years to come. We are proud to provide high-quality produce to folks in the Boston area, and every day, we feel lucky that we are surrounded by so many people who are as head-over-heels excited abut local food as we are!
