We are a family-owned and operated farm located in the heart of the Pioneer Valley. We have been growing and selling quality sod throughout New England for more than 20 years. Recently, we have expanded our farm by planting a hop yard and several different small grain varieties. When we harvest our grain we also get a very clean straw that is ideal for bedding.
All of our grains are grown, dried, cleaned and milled here on the farm. The nutritional analysis, protein content and absence of mycotoxin is determined by an established forage lab in Maryland.
We understand and share our neighbors’ concern about the environmental impact of farming. We carefully manage our pesticide application according to Integrated Pest Management guidelines developed in cooperation with University Extension. Most of our farm's electrical needs are filled by our recently installed 65.4kW solar power generator. We live here and strive to do our part to protect the land we work and love.

What we are baking
I wanted to include a little about things we have made with our flour.
Banana Bread with Barley Flour
We used a tablespoon more oil and replaced all of the wheat flour with barley flour. The result was very nice. The barley and banana combination added a lot and the extra oil helped compensate for the dryness of the barley flour.
Fresh Pasta
I used our wheat flour and it worked very well. It had a more robust flavor than regular all purpose flour and would be very nice in a rich sauce.
