For Businesses and Institutional customers:
A little about Four Star Farms, Inc.
We are a family-owned and operated farm located in the heart of the Pioneer Valley. We have been growing and selling quality turf throughout New England for more than 25 years. Recently, we diversified our farm to include a 6 acre hop yard and several different small grain varieties that can be milled into flour. When we harvest our grain we also get a very clean straw that is ideal for bedding.
All of our grains are grown, dried, cleaned and milled here on the farm. The nutritional analysis, protein content and absence of mycotoxin is determined by an established forage lab in Maryland.
We understand and share our neighbors' concern about the environmental impact of farming. We carefully manage our practices according to Integrated Pest Management guidelines developed in cooperation with the University of Massachusetts Extension. Most of our farm's electrical needs are filled by our 65.4kW solar power generator. We live on our farm and strive to do our part to protect the land we work and love. Please visit our website for more information: www.fourstarfarms.com.
