Community Supported Medicne (CSM)
In 2008 we will be offering an herbal medicine based CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). The goal of our CSM is to promote preventative medicine and educate our community on the everyday uses and benefits of the plants that are native to our area. We beleive that through a healthy lifestyle, exercise and the everyday use of herbs, we can support our systems and avoid falling ill in the first place! The proceeds of the CSM directly support The Farmacy Community Clinic.
Like a CSA, a CSM consists of individuals who pledge to support a farm operation, creating an investment in the farm, with the grower and consumer providing mutual support. This gives the community the opportunity to share in the farm's bounty, as well as satisfaction gained from reconnecting to the land and participating directly in food/medicine production. This philosophy will be applied to the herbal medicine produced by our Education Programs, grown on our homestead and on other local farms.
May- October, 6 monthly pickups of:
2 oz of Seasonal Tinctures
1 oz of a Farmacy Salve or Infused Oil
Bunches of seasonal fresh herbs.
4 oz of your choice of Farmacy Tea Blends
Full shares and half shares also includes:
A Nutritional/ Herbal consultaion and 1 follow up visit in the student clinic.
10% off all Farmacy Herbal Products in 2008
Full descriptions of herbs and products and their medicinal uses.
Full Share: $300.00 Half Share: $150.00
Members also commit 4 hours a month in the gardens or in the Health Care Center.

We cultivate, wildcraft and formulate our herbal medicine on the premises and on local farms. Our collection of tinctures, tea blends and herbal products are produced by Farmacy's staff of herbalists, apprentices, volunteers and the Herbal Education and Training Program (HEAT).
Our mission is to not only sell high quality herbal products, but to educate the public on a variety of local, medicinal plants. Our adult and kids educational programs focus on sustainability and empower students to use holistic approaches in their lives.
In addition to producing and selling herbs and herbal products, our shop is open to the public four days a week. We carry a wide range of bulk dried herbs, herbal products, bottles, jars and books. April through October we sell compost and mulch.
