Regular Share (June-October, 21 weeks, $650). This is our standard CSA share. You can expect over thirty kinds of vegetables, everything from tomatoes and green beans to kohlrabi and rutabaga. What you get varies from week to week, depending on the season, but it will usually be 6-12 different items. We strive to provide a balance of different kinds of vegetables: salad greens, cooking greens, long-lasting roots, and tender fruits (squash, tomatoes, peppers). The share is ~10lbs/week (depending on the season), enough food for two veggie-loving adults or a small family. Extended Share (June-November, 25 weeks, $750). Regular share + four more weeks. Eat local through Thanksgiving! You can expect lots of great fall produce: primarily greens (kale, arugula, lettuce, etc.), roots, and other storage crops like onions and potatoes. Flower Share (mid-June through mid-September, 10 weeks, $120). For the first time, we are offering our very own flower share. Each week, you will get a beautiful, freshly arranged bouquet. Flowers vary throughout the season, but you can expect to take home celosia, zinnias, dahlias, snapdragons, and more. It is a great way to bring a little bit of summer into the house! |

A new and exciting change this year is that all CSA members will be able to choose their own produce each week! That means no pre-bagging and you have more choice on the quantity of items you purchase each week! Perfect for weeks when you will be going away for vacation or when you are hosting parties at home! The ability to choose your own is a definite plus and one that sets us at Gilson’s apart! Throughout June and October we will have a variety of in-season herbs and produce available for you to pick and choose! ** We have several local pick up days available! The following days are available for members to choose for pick up at our Herb Lyceum location at 368 Main St, Groton MA: - Tuesdays 3-7pm - Thursdays 11-3pm - Saturdays 11-3pm For memembers in the Boston area, we will have pick up available at our Prudential Farmers Market which runs on Thursdays from 11-6pm. We recommend getting there as early as possible to have the widest and most selection to choose from! |

You can expect ~60 pounds of produce, including roots, winter squash, potatoes, onions, popcorn, and some more tender crops, such as cabbage and kale. The majority of vegetables in this share will store for several months, and we provide you with lots of storage tips and recipes. It is a great way to stock up for the winter. |

What is CSA?
Community Supported Agriculture, often shortened to CSA, is a prepaid subscription to a farm's produce for the season. Most CSAs give shareholders a weekly supply of veggies, herbs, fruits and sometimes even eggs and meat. You know it's fresh and you get to meet the farm and people who grew your food! The prepaid CSA arrangements also makes it a source of financial security for the farmer. Some CSAs also incorporate farm workdays for shareholders. Pickup days vary by farm and some offer pickups in Providence.CSAs have been very popular recently. Be sure to sign up early before subscriptions are filled!
