Share Options The Standard Full Season Nourse Farm CSA Share option is 20 weeks long and is available for pick up at the Farm. It is suitable for two to four people who eat vegetables and berries on a regular basis. The standard share consists of berries and vegetables worth at least $30 per week. (See monthly crop list) Seasonal Price $600.00 The Small Share option is 20 weeks long just like the standard share. It can be picked up at the farm and consists of a smaller quantity of berries and vegetables worth at least $22.50 per week. This share is suitable for two people. Seasonal Price $450.00 The Pick Your Own Share option is 20 weeks long. It allows the share holder to pick their own strawberries, black raspberries, summer raspberries, cherry tomatoes, blueberries, blackberries, fall raspberries, and pumpkins as they are available. What is CSA?
Community Supported Agriculture, often shortened to CSA, is a prepaid subscription to a farm's produce for the season. Most CSAs give shareholders a weekly supply of veggies, herbs, fruits and sometimes even eggs and meat. You know it's fresh and you get to meet the farm and people who grew your food! The prepaid CSA arrangements also makes it a source of financial security for the farmer. Some CSAs also incorporate farm workdays for shareholders. Pickup days vary by farm and some offer pickups in Providence.CSAs have been very popular recently. Be sure to sign up early before subscriptions are filled!
